Who you are:
One year of experience in hospitality or institutional housekeeping, in the janitorial field, is preferred
Ability to speak and understand English
Bi-lingual is a plus
Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision
Job Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for performing special cleaning tasks, set-up services, and regularly scheduled housekeeping duties within the facility.
Essential Job Duties:
Performs a variety of support services in preparation for special activities, which may include setting up tables and chairs, podiums, special decorations, or other special equipment that must be properly moved and stored
Maintains public and common areas of the facility in a safe, orderly, and sanitary condition. Must be able to identify and report the need for repairs, and unsafe conditions and respond appropriately in emergencies
Uses cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and per instructions
Performs special tasks which may be chargeable to the resident upon instruction of the Supervisor
Cleans interior and exterior windows on a scheduled basis
Communicates with residents, visitors, and staff
Attends in-service training classes as scheduled and utilizes information learned when performing duties
Uses carpet cleaning equipment and performs carpet care as instructed
Assists with resident move-ins which will include lifting and moving furniture, packed boxes, and other movable items
Conducts routine inspections of own area of assignment to ensure that departmental quality standards are achieved and maintained
Rate and Shift Information
$18.00 / hourly
8:00 am - 4:30 pm
