Golf Course Maintenance Technician
Palmetto Bluff is nestled along the May River in the Lowcountry of South Carolina between Hilton Head Island and Savannah. As an award winning 20,000 acre development, the development encompasses a private member's only club which includes a marina, restaurants, an equestrian center, a shooting club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, The Crossroads Reversable King Collins Golf Course, Anson Point Golf Course designed by Coore and Crenshaw, a lawn and racquet club, a community farm, and more. In addition, Palmetto Bluff has an extensive nature preserve, walking trails, retail shopping, art gallery, and a vibrant village, all which pay homage to the region's rich heritage.
Daily course maintenance is an important function of the golf course management staff, providing an essential service to members and guest. Maintenance that is properly executed will enhance the member/guest experience, allowing for an enjoyable round of golf. As we perform maintenance, it is critical we have a keen eye for detail such as litter, debris, tire tracks, etc.

Job duties include, although are not limited to:
Proficient in all duties of Level I Technicians
Operate pull behind Debris Blowers
Mow Fairways
Mow Rough
Mow Approaches
Mow Tees
Roll Greens
Mow Croquet Courts
Any other duty as required by supervisor
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills; team orientated
Desire to serve and create lifelong memories
Previous experience in GCM desired
Love for the game of golf preferred
Ability to comprehend instructions given in English or Spanish
Ability to work 5-7 days a week, weekends and holidays
Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs
Physical Requirements:
Majority of tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and rainy.
Temperatures can be extreme but are usually moderate.
Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands, bend and stoop, remain at post standing for periods of time, walk for a long distance, and is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
