Job Details
Responsibilities and Duties:
Able to layout and install Sheetmetal and/or duct systems.
Reads blueprints and interprets specifications.
Installs hangars or supports for systems.
Can assemble and install H.V.A.C equipment as necessary.
Keeps equipment in good working order and insures proper and timely maintenance is performed on equipment
Follows all OSHA standards for safety. Keeps work area clear of unnecessary clutter and performs routine clean-up as needed.
Organizes work and utilizes preplanning such as the four weeks look ahead schedule.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience/Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sheetmetal/HVAC in field operations.
Completion of Apprenticeship program preferred.
Job Skills:
Ability to read blueprints
Knowledge of general Sheetmetal/HVAC installation.
Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
Strong math skills
Education:
High School or GED equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Eyesight correctable to 20/50
Able to perform shift work
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Special Requirements:
Valid Driver's License
Journeyman's license if required
Hourly pay range: $34.00 - $44.00 p/h
