Housekeeper - Hope Valley Country Club
Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Housekeeping. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast's most vibrant, exciting areas.
The Housekeeping role is essential in ensuring that all areas of the clubincluding dining rooms, locker rooms, event spaces, and common areasare kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times. The Housekeeper plays a key role in supporting the club's commitment to providing a high-quality, welcoming environment for members, guests, and staff.
Primary responsibilities include:
Clean and maintain all clubhouse areas including dining rooms, lounges, restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, offices, and event spaces.
Perform daily tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and sanitizing surfaces.
Clean and restock restrooms and locker rooms, ensuring supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are always available.
Assist with event preparation and cleanup, including resetting spaces after meetings, dinners, and special events.
Remove trash and recycling from all designated areas and ensure proper disposal.
Maintain cleanliness of entrances, windows, and high-traffic areas throughout the clubhouse.
Monitor facility areas and report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
Follow all club cleanliness standards and safety procedures.
Required Skills:
Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
Sense of urgency for pertinent matters.
Knowledge of chemical safety.
Customer service oriented.
Physical demands and work environment requirements:
Prolonged periods standing.
Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
