Senior Staff Product Manager, Risk Capabilities

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Staff Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of our Risk capabilities across our Intuit Consumer Group lending portfolio.
This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for the end-to-end product strategy and execution across the entire Risk lifecycle encompassing customer acquisition, application processing, underwriting, ongoing monitoring, and fraud prevention. You will be instrumental in building and managing innovative, data-driven Risk capabilities that enable sustainable business growth, mitigate losses from both credit and fraud, and maintain a secure and positive customer experience for users of our Consumer Group products.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within Intuit including Engineering, Credit Policy, Fraud Strategy, Data Science, Operations, Business Development, and other Product Managers to define the future of Risk management for our Consumer Group lending products.

Responsibilities
Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, specifically designing and delivering risk or fraud solutions for consumer lending products, ideally within the FinTech or financial services industry
Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of both credit risk domains across the consumer lending lifecycle: including acquisition, identity verification, underwriting, transaction monitoring, account management, and collections/loss mitigation. Familiarity with modern risk assessment techniques, including the application of AI/ML for decision-making
Strategic Thinking: Proven experience in defining product vision and strategy, translating them into actionable product roadmaps, and influencing long-term direction
Customer Obsession: A strong track record of working closely with customers and partners, employing deep empathy, listening skills, and a customer-focused approach to shape strategy and priorities within the consumer context
Execution and Program Management: Proficiency in managing complex program/project deliverables involving multiple teams, dependencies, and timelines. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive execution from concept (MVP) through to significant scale
Leadership and Influence: Excellent collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to lead execution across diverse teams and influence stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization
Communication: Inspiring written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively articulating vision, strategy, and results to audiences ranging from small technical teams to senior executives and large groups
Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making, including defining success metrics and measuring outcomes for both credit performance and fraud prevention
Education: BS or technical degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
Qualifications
Product Strategy and Vision: Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Risk capabilities across our Intuit Consumer Group lending portfolio. Identify, define, validate, and prioritize opportunities based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility
Thought Leadership: Act as the product thought leader for Intuit Consumer Group Lending Risk. Identify critical customer and business requirements related to both creditworthiness and fraud prevention, understand business goals, define the desired end-state product experience, and partner with development teams to design optimal, scalable solutions
Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product lifecycle for Risk capabilities, including:
Acquisition and Underwriting: Define strategies and capabilities for accurate identity verification, robust fraud screening, comprehensive creditworthiness assessment, streamlined application flows, integration of diverse data sources (traditional and alternative), and the development/deployment of advanced AI/ML models and rule engines for both fraud detection and credit decisioning related to Consumer Group lending products
Portfolio Management and Monitoring: Develop capabilities for proactive risk monitoring (both credit and fraud), automated detection of suspicious activity, dynamic risk-based controls, customer exposure management, and features supporting account lifecycle events (eg, limit adjustments, refinancing options), as well as optimizing collections and recovery processes
Customer Focus: Conduct in-depth customer research, usability studies, and experiments to deeply understand risk- and fraud-related customer friction points and security needs within the consumer lending journey. Champion the customer perspective throughout the product lifecycle
Data-Driven Execution: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for both credit performance and fraud mitigation effectiveness against customer needs and business goals for Consumer Group lending. Use data to inform prioritization, communicate progress, and demonstrate success
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate effectively within Intuit with Engineering, Data Science, Credit Policy, Fraud Strategy/Operations, Design, Marketing, and other partners to ensure successful discovery, development, launch, and iteration of Risk products and features for Consumer Group lending
Roadmap Execution: Drive the product roadmap from minimum viable product (MVP) to significant scale, managing trade-offs and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality capabilities

This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: $196,500 - $275,000
