Floor Technician Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring various types of flooring surfaces to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role requires knowledge of floor care equipment, materials, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors
Operate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, extractors, etc.)
Perform carpet cleaning and extraction
Refinish hard surface floors, including tile, VCT, concrete, and hardwood
Apply floor finishes and sealants according to manufacturer specifications
Remove trash and maintain overall cleanliness of assigned areas
Follow all safety guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
Qualifications
Previous floor care or janitorial experience REQUIRED
Ability to operate floor maintenance equipment
Knowledge of floor finishes, strippers, and cleaning chemicals
Ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and standing
Ability to push and pull equipment
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
Must be able to lift 35 lbs
