A day in the life
The Senior Development Operations associate leads partner onboarding, contract administration, and operational infrastructure for the U.S. Energy Development team, which identifies and advances on-site energy projects.
This role drives standardized processes across onboarding, contracts, governance, and legal coordination, serving as a subject matter expert and change leader. The position enables scalable growth, reduces operational risk, and creates clarity for internal stakeholders
Key responsibilities include:
Partner Onboarding & Operational Enablement
Own end-to-end onboarding of external development partners, ensuring operational readiness and compliance
Develop standardized procedures, tools, and training to drive consistency and scalability
Serve as primary escalation point for onboarding and process governance
Contract & Governance Oversight
Provide operational governance for Development Work Orders and related contract processes
Partner with Legal and Development to ensure structured, compliant, and repeatable execution
Maintain visibility into contract milestones and accountability
Project Setup & Legal Coordination
Oversee accurate project setup to support reporting, forecasting, compliance, and execution
Coordinate entity formation and maintain project-level compliance frameworks
Act as central liaison for legal and structural process alignment
Process Design & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures across development operations
Identify operational risks and inefficiencies; design scalable solutions
Drive cross-functional alignment to transition workflows from reactive to proactive
Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the operational bridge between internal teams and external partners
Promote clarity, accountability, and scalable infrastructure to support growth
Building blocks for success
Required:
Experience in partner management, contract administration, development operations, or project operations
Strong understanding of operational workflows, governance, and contract processes
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Operations
Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
Experience building and implementing scalable processes
Confident leading trainings and serving as a subject matter expert
Preferred:
Background in energy, infrastructure, construction, or related development environments preferred
Hiring Salary Range of: $85,000 - $120,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidate's location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
