Quality Technician – Production and Warehouse Location: Mahwah, NJ 07430 Job Type: FullTime, InPerson Overview We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Quality Technician – Production and Warehouse to support quality, production, laboratory, and warehouse operations related to the preparation and evaluation of substrates used by Paint and Coatings companies for drawdowns, color testing, and application trials. This role is handson and integrated into daily manufacturing and material handling activities. The Quality Technician inspects incoming materials, performs quality checks during multiple stages of production, verifies finished goods prior to shipment, and completes defined operational checks while actively supporting production runs and warehouse operations. This position is well suited for candidates interested in quality control, manufacturing, and handson production work within an industrial environment. Some exposure to basic laboratory concepts or chemistry can be helpful when inspecting materials and supporting labrelated activities; however, the role focuses on visual, processbased, and operational checks of materials during receiving, production, and final preparation rather than analytical or researchdriven chemistry work. Key Responsibilities Quality Control and Inspection Perform incoming inspections on raw materials and substrates using established quality checks Conduct inprocess quality inspections throughout production to verify condition, consistency, and conformance to requirements Perform final inspections on finished goods prior to packaging and shipment Weigh finished products and accurately record results in internal databases or tracking systems Document inspection results, measurements, and nonconformances accurately Production and Laboratory Support Assist with material setup, equipment preparation, and workflow coordination Actively participate in production runs while maintaining quality awareness Support laboratoryadjacent tasks related to sample preparation, handling, and evaluation of substrates Perform routine measurements, unit conversions, and basic calculations required for production accuracy Warehouse and Material Handling Support Label, package, and prepare finished goods for shipment Move raw materials, workinprocess, and finished goods throughout the facility Support inventory counts, material tracking, and replenishment activities Provide backup support for shipping, receiving, paper cutting and general warehouse duties as needed Gather, prepare and mail out samples General Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all safety, quality, and material handling procedures Work independently or as part of a crossfunctional production and quality team Qualifications and Experience Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment is highly preferred Experience performing quality inspections, process checks, or operational verification tasks is preferred Prior exposure to the Paint and Coatings industry is a strong advantage but not required Basic understanding of laboratory practices or chemistry concepts is helpful for material inspection but is not the focus of the role Strong attention to detail and consistency when performing repetitive accuracybased tasks Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment and processes Ability to perform routine measurements, unit conversions, and data entry accurately Good communication skills and ability to document findings clearly Ability to stand for extended periods and routinely lift up to 50 pounds Education Requirements Associate degree required Benefits 401(k) plan Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Work Location Mahwah, NJ 07430 Inperson role; ability to commute is required Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $25 - $30 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
