Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or (RVS) to join our vascular lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in lower extremity arterial and venous duplex studies, including DVT evaluation and venous reflux testing in the standing position with demonstrated proficiency in image optimization, workflow efficiency and interpretation.
This role requires independent scanning, accurate preliminary interpretation, and adherence to lab protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complete lower extremity arterial duplex exams (CFA → pedal arteries), including waveform analysis, velocity measurements, ratios, stenosis grading and documentation.
Perform complete lower extremity venous duplex exams, including:
Deep vein thrombosis evaluation
Superficial and deep reflux mapping
Augmentation techniques
Accurate documentation
Optimize imaging using grayscale, color, and spectral Doppler settings for highest quality images.
Correlate findings with patient history and clinical presentation; communicate critical results promptly.
Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume vascular lab.
Operate and troubleshoot vascular ultrasound equipment; ensure compliance with lab protocols and standards.
Maintain professional communication with patients, staff, and physicians.
Required Qualifications
RVT certification (ARDMS) required and or RVS credential
3–5 years of independent vascular ultrasound experience
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Lower extremity arterial duplex
Lower extremity venous duplex (DVT + reflux)
Image optimization and acquisition
Interpretation and correlation of findings
Strong communication, organization, efficiency and documentation skills
Knowledge of vascular lab protocols and safety standards
Ability to work independently
