Hybrid | Short-Term Assignment
Direct Counsel is seeking an
Administrative Assistant
for a short-term, hybrid assignment with a well-established public sector organization in San Francisco. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented administrative professional looking to contribute to a high-volume, process-driven environment.
Location:
San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week, plus first and last day)
Assignment Duration:
May 6, 2026 – June 26, 2026
Key Responsibilities
Support annual licensee renewal processes and suspension workflows
Process both scanned and physical mail, including data entry for returned mail
Generate notices in response to incoming correspondence and update internal systems with detailed notes
Maintain accurate and organized records
Review and respond to system-based inquiries, closing cases as appropriate
Qualifications
Prior experience in an office setting performing clerical or administrative duties preferred
2+ years of data entry and clerical experience
preferred
1+ year of customer service experience
preferred
Required Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
High attention to detail and ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures
Proficiency with modern office technology, including computer systems and web-based applications
Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to handle inquiries effectively and maintain confidentiality
Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
