The Personal Trainer will serve as a trusted partner in promoting long-term health, vitality, and balance for principals, family members, and guests, while maintaining the highest standards of discretion and professionalism. A key component of this role includes providing elevated, hospitality-driven fitness experiences for guests, including consultations, short-term programming, and tailored sessions that reflect a five-star standard of service.
This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, with overriding flexibility for later hours and weekends as needed, based on the household’s dynamic schedule and lifestyle. This position requires a candidate who can seamlessly balance elite-level fitness expertise with the discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence required in a high-profile private household. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and implement customized fitness programs tailored to the individual goals, preferences, and medical considerations of principals, family members, and guests
Provide one-on-one and small group training sessions, including strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, flexibility, and mobility work
Conduct guest fitness consultations, assessing goals, preferences, and any physical limitations to deliver highly personalized, short-term training experiences
Deliver elevated, hospitality-level fitness sessions for guests, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and professional experience aligned with a luxury environment
Develop and oversee holistic wellness plans, incorporating recovery, stretching, and injury prevention techniques
Monitor progress, track performance metrics, and adjust programs to ensure optimal results
Collaborate with nutritionists, physical therapists, and other wellness professionals as needed
Maintain and manage on-site fitness facilities and equipment, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper functioning at all times
Prepare fitness spaces in advance of guest arrivals, ensuring equipment, amenities, and environments meet a five-star standard
Offer guidance on lifestyle habits that support overall health, including sleep, hydration, and general wellness practices
Provide motivation, encouragement, and accountability in a professional, polished, and intuitive manner
Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Personal Trainer, preferably within private households, luxury hospitality settings, or with UHNW individuals REQUIRED
Strong command of English language; outstanding writing and verbal skills
Excellent references from both current and former employers
Nationally recognized personal training certification required (NASM, ACE, NSCA, or equivalent); advanced certifications strongly preferred
Demonstrated expertise in multiple training modalities (strength, functional training, corrective exercise, mobility, etc.)
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and injury prevention
Experience delivering high-touch, client-facing service with an emphasis on personalization and discretion
Experience working with a diverse range of clients, including varying fitness levels, age groups, and short-term guest engagement
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a respectful, communicative, and adaptable approach
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust with principals, family members, and guests
Ability to integrate seamlessly into an established household staff and contribute positively to team culture and dynamics
MUST be a team player who is collaborative and supportive and can work with range of personalities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver a seamless, elevated experience
Physically fit and able to demonstrate exercises with proper form
CPR/AED certification required
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Salary: $100K - $150K per annum, dependent on experience and travel requirements
