5G RAN Virtualization Engineer | EMS/NMS | FCAPS | Tier 3 SME (Plano)

We are looking for a strong
RAN Virtualization OA&M Engineer
with deep expertise in
EMS/NMS, OAM&P (FCAPS), and virtualized 4G/5G RAN networks
for a long-term onsite opportunity in Plano, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
OAMP/FCAPS subsystem integration and troubleshooting in wireless networks
Tier 3 SME support for commercial NMS/EMS application issues
Drive RCA with R&D and provide workarounds for critical network issues
Support 4G/5G RAN virtualization (vCU/vDU, NFV environments)
Translate customer requirements into system and design specifications
Support pre-sales technical discussions and solution design
Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, and customers)
Participate in rollout, upgrades, and performance optimization of network management systems
Required Skills:
5+ years in OAMP/FCAPS/EMS/NMS for wireless networks
Hands-on experience with RAN + virtualization (NFV, OpenStack/Kubernetes preferred)
Strong Tier 3 troubleshooting experience in production environments
Knowledge of SNMP, Netconf, YANG, REST APIs
Linux/Unix, scripting (Shell/Perl/TCL)
Understanding of 3GPP Core/RAN architecture
Experience with HA, redundancy, and system performance tuning
Education:
Bachelor’s in EE/CS/Telecom required (Master’s preferred)
