Overview
Seeking a candidate to support enterprise-wide automation initiatives focused on internal logistics and material movement within complex manufacturing environments. This role involves evaluating robotics technologies, implementing automation solutions, and integrating systems into existing IT and operational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design and implementation of internal logistics automation systems across manufacturing environments
Evaluate and integrate robotics technologies such as AMRs/AGVs into fleet management and enterprise systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency through automation
Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives and transition solutions into production environments
Integrate automation systems with MES/ERP platforms and existing IT infrastructure
Troubleshoot and support robotics deployments across networking and system architecture layers
Manage escalations related to automation systems and provide technical solutions
Commission and deploy automation systems across multiple sites
Develop system documentation, user guides, and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in IT/IS systems
2+ years of experience in automation, robotics, or internal logistics systems
Experience with robotics platforms (AMRs/AGVs) and/or PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP)
Experience with Linux environments, Docker, and scripting (Bash)
Ability to communicate technical concepts such as network architecture and system design
Willingness to support occasional weekend work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DevOps practices
Backend development experience (Node.js or Python, APIs, services)
Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System)
Project management experience (5+ years preferred)
