
Project Coordinator (Farmington Hills)

Responsible for the full lifecycle management of automotive component projects — from concept and development to validation and mass production. Serve as the primary interface between customers and internal teams (Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement) to ensure project deliverables are met in terms of time, cost, quality, and successful SOP (Start of Production) and NPI (New Product Introduction).
Responsibilities
Lead full project lifecycle management
from concept to SOP, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, and quality targets.
Serve as the primary customer interface
for project status, technical alignment, and issue escalation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams
(Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement) to drive project execution.
Manage APQP/PPAP processes
in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
Identify and mitigate project risks , lead root cause analysis and 8D problem-solving for project issues.
Support industrialization and production ramp-up , including process development, equipment validation, and early flow management.
Track and control project budgets, investments, and engineering changes
(ECN/ECO).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of automotive project management experience (Tier 1/Tier 2 preferred).
Familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, IATF 16949.
Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
PMP certification is a plus.
