POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Transmission Project Controls & Scheduling Professional is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules and cost performance for transmission construction operations. This role partners closely with project managers, field teams, and accounting to ensure projects are properly sequenced, financially aligned, and proactively managed to minimize risk and improve overall project execution.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for transmission construction projects.
Build schedules from scratch, establish baselines, and produce variance and performance reports.
Analyze schedule data to identify critical path activities, sequencing risks, and potential delays.
Partner with project managers and field teams to ensure alignment between field execution and schedule plans.
Coordinate with accounting to align schedule data with job cost structures, cost codes, and financial reporting.
Support invoice reconciliation, cost tracking, and earned value management processes.
Assess current project controls processes and recommend improvements to modernize workflows and reporting.
Create meaningful reports and dashboards to support project and leadership decision-making.
Communicate schedule risks and performance issues clearly and directly to project teams and leadership.
Support client reporting requirements as needed.
Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as directed.

What You’ll Bring:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of experience in transmission line construction project controls or scheduling.
Proven experience building and managing schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of transmission project sequencing, including pole delivery, structure setting, wire pulling, and energization.
Experience interpreting schedule data and identifying critical path and risk impacts.
Knowledge of job cost structures and how schedule performance ties to financial results.
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with accounting and financial data.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment with competing priorities.
High level of attention to detail and accountability.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Experience working in utility environments such as CNP, CPS Energy, AEP, or TNMP.
Prior experience within a Quanta Services operating company.
Experience developing client-facing schedule reports and presentations.
Background in both transmission and distribution construction.
Experience driving process improvement or modernizing project controls functions.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional), PMP, or other relevant project management certification.
Primavera P6 certification.
