We support corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, concerts, outdoor events, galas, and other live productions from pre-production through on-site execution. We are expanding in both Orlando, Florida and Chandler, Arizona and are hiring multiple experienced Audio Visual Project Managers to join our team.
Position Summary The Audio Visual Project Manager is responsible for leading live event projects from planning through completion. This role serves as the primary client contact, coordinates technical execution, leads on-site crews, manages show schedules, and tracks labor activity during event execution to help ensure successful project outcomes.
This position is focused on project leadership, client communication, technical coordination, and field execution. It does not own quoting, forecasting, or subrental management.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership
Manage live event projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, client expectations, and quality standards are met
Prepare and communicate technical production schedules, project scope, and execution plans to internal teams, vendors, and venue partners
Identify project resource needs and coordinate with internal departments to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and fulfilled
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, venue partners, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor project scope throughout planning and execution, escalating changes through established internal procedures
Lead project kickoff meetings with sales, technical, and client teams
Review sales documents to help confirm equipment plans and technical positions align with client needs
Assist sales and operations teams in determining equipment needs and technical solutions
Assist with the creation of technical diagrams when required
Provide leadership and direction to Associate Project Managers on multi-PM supported events
Operations and Event Execution
Collaborate with Operations, Inventory Control, warehouse, and technical teams to support accurate project execution
Lead on-site crews and manage execution schedules for employees and subcontractors throughout the event
Oversee load-ins, setup, run of show, and load-outs
Act as the on-site project leader and primary client contact throughout the event
Manage all phases of technical execution from load-in through show operation to load-out
Direct on-site adjustments involving crew deployment, timing, equipment usage, and workflow as event conditions change
Maintain visibility into equipment and execution needs throughout the event and communicate changes to the appropriate internal teams
Ensure compliance with established Technical and Production Standards
Follow up with clients on-site to confirm needs are met and equipment is operating properly
Participate in post-event debriefs to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Administrative and Project Oversight
Track on-site labor hours, breaks, and overtime for employees and subcontractors during event execution
Communicate labor overages, scope changes, schedule impacts, and other show-site issues to the appropriate internal teams in a timely manner
Complete post-event reporting and confirm project-related details needed for internal closeout
Document on-site changes involving labor, schedule, equipment, or scope to support internal reconciliation and billing
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of Project Management SOPs
Conduct review and analysis of proposed events as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of AV industry experience required
1 or more years of supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred
Degree in project management, business administration, or a related field preferred
Strong technical background with working knowledge of AV equipment, system functionality, and live event execution
Understanding of technical and construction documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong client relationship and customer service skills
Operational logistics experience in live events or production environments
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects at once
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Technical diagram knowledge or experience preferred
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel as required
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to meet DOT requirements
Ability to pass a background check
Schedule and Travel This is a full-time salaried position, typically scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Evening and weekend availability will be required based on event schedules and business demands. Travel is required.
