Our client is a manufacturer looking for a Tooling Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to support both production and sales departments. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
Perform tooling design to produce parts using AutoCAD and Solid Works to meet customer specifications.
Provide possible solutions for part redesign, material substitution substitutions or rearrangement of subassemblies.
Collaborate with other departments such as Maintenance and Production to implement improvements pertaining to safety, production, quality, and continuous improvement.
Drafts detailed drawings for production.
Develop purchasing specifications for component parts.
Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
Tool design for sheet metal punching, forming and fabricating
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
AutoCAD/SolidWorks Experience.
Mechanical design experience
Drafting experience.
3+ years of experience in tooling design.
