We are actively seeking an experienced
Energy Marshal
to oversee all equipment energizations within the
Construction Zone
on a major
project
in
Berkley, MO . This role is the single point of responsibility for energization activities, electrical safety coordination, and equipment protection during startup, commissioning, and construction operations.
If you have strong electrical systems knowledge, understand NFPA 70E / OSHA requirements, and can confidently manage energization procedures in a live construction environment — this is your opportunity.

⚡ Position Summary:
The Energy Marshal is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and enforcing adherence to the project Electrical Safety Plan, pre-energization procedures, and manufacturer requirements. This role has sole authority to approve energizations, energized work, and re-entry into previously energized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Final approval for all energizations in the Construction Zone
✅ Lead all pre-energization planning meetings
✅ Oversee Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) activities and approvals
✅ Verify qualified workers are assigned to energized/LOTO work
✅ Review single-line drawings and system scope with crews
✅ Ensure owner, manufacturer, and L3 inspections are complete
✅ Manage FOD inspections, tamper tags, and re-entry controls
✅ Verify breaker, switch, and test positions before energization
✅ Coordinate with operations teams for energize/de-energize requests
✅ Train and assign Deputy Energy Marshals as needed
Required Qualifications:
✔ NFPA 70E Certification
✔ Strong understanding of OSHA electrical safety standards
✔ Experience with energization, commissioning, and LOTO programs
✔ Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines
✔ Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale construction projects
✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
