Opportunity:
Physician - Cardiology 60 shifts
Job Details:
* Clinic schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* 24/7 call coverage with 4-5 consults per day and 1-2 after hour calls per day
* Full clinic days see 20-25 patients, half clinic days with testing supervision include 4-6 tests in the morning and 12-15 patients in the afternoon
* Support staff includes medical assistants and one registered nurse
* Patient population is primarily 50+ years of age
* Work in general cardiology department using Cerner EMR system
* Must be certified to perform and read nuclear medicine stress tests, exercise stress tests, EKGs, echoes, and TEE
* Responsibilities include evaluation and management of new and established patients
* Perform cardiac risk assessments, electrocardiograms, and Holter monitor placements
* Oversee pacemaker check clinic and patient rounding
* Supervise echocardiograms, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testing
* Conduct transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions
* Board certification required along with BLS, ACLS, and TEE certifications
* State license required with IMLC or temporary license accepted
* DEA registration required
