Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer
The Propellant Manufacturing Engineer provides night shift support for rocket motor mixing and casting, implementing process improvements to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery. The role involves solving complex, multi-disciplinary technical challenges through creative analysis and prior experience with minimal oversight. Additionally, the engineer must support all onsite propellant and warhead compositions while working toward specific performance goals.
Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.).Minimal travel required.
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Ability to work 2nd shift.
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant engineer experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related engineer experience. Computer skills sufficient to generate reports and analyze data using MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Minitab.
Lean Six Sigma certification.
Statistical Analysis experience.
Understands rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation.
