We are building a modern, organized service operation focused on strong diagnostics, honest recommendations, and long-term customer relationships.We believe experienced technicians should be paid well for performance without high-pressure gimmicks or chaotic management.Position OverviewWe are hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician with at least 5 years of residential HVAC experience.This role is service-focused and ideal for a technician who is confident in diagnostics, communicates well with customers, and can contribute to service revenue while working alongside a Lead Technician who handles advanced diagnostics and system replacements.You will run your own calls while being supported by organized dispatching, Workiz CRM systems, and a responsive office team. ResponsibilitiesService & DiagnosticsDiagnose and repair residential HVAC systems independently Perform preventative maintenance and system evaluations Ensure clean, professional, code-compliant workmanship Assist with system troubleshooting and occasional installation support Customer Communication & Service OpportunitiesPresent repair options clearly and professionally Build trust with homeowners through honest recommendations Identify system replacement opportunities and communicate them to the Lead Technician or management Offer IAQ upgrades and maintenance memberships when appropriate Field OperationsRun assigned service calls efficiently and on schedule Handle a mix of service, maintenance, and warranty calls Support team operations and assist on more complex jobs when needed Professional StandardsComplete digital job notes and required photos Collect payment onsite when required Maintain a clean, organized take-home company vehicle Represent the Handy Dan brand professionally at all times Requirements5+ years residential HVAC service experience Strong diagnostic ability Strong communication and customer-facing skills EPA Certification (required) Clean driving record Comfortable using mobile apps and CRM software Team-oriented mindset NATE certification is a plus.Compensation$28$34 per hour based on experience, diagnostic ability, and communication skillsPerformance-based bonus opportunities Install lead bonuses BenefitsTake-home company vehicle Fuel card Fully stocked truck (technician provides personal tools) Company tablet/phone Health insurance (Company contributes to employee and family plans) PTO accrual Paid holidays Advancement opportunities as the company grows Why Join Handy Dan?
