Equity Impact Research Analyst
Neuberger Berman believes that material sustainability considerations and stewardship are an important driver of long-term investment returns. The Equity Impact team works with global clients to deliver attractive investment performance and progress against client impact objectives through listed equity portfolios (US & Global). The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team with fundamental research, company coverage and sustainability responsibilities. The role is intended for an experienced professional in investment research, investment banking, asset management or accounting/valuation with an entrepreneurial attitude and applicable interest in sustainable outcomes. The successful candidate will be a member of the investment research team contributing to stock selection with senior portfolio managers and report to Senior Vice Presidents on the team.
As a Research Analyst, the candidate will work closely with our Global Equity Research and Data Science groups which provides in-depth company, sector and macro expertise to identify investment recommendations and emerging industry trends for the firm.
To accomplish our shared goals, our team employs deep, fundamental research on a universe of companies generating sustainable outcomes; leverages analysts' strong relationships with management teams; conducts primary research and field work to substantiate our investment theses; and coordinates with our colleagues who invest across the capital structure to develop a fuller picture of our investment recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Driving stock selection via research coverage and recommendations, collaboratively contributing to portfolio construction.
Idea generation, conducting fundamental and sustainability due diligence on potential investments, engaging with portfolio holdings and reporting on sustainable outcomes.
Financial modelling; valuation; regular communication with management teams, industry experts, sell-side analysts and field research.

Experience & Skills Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of investment banking, sell-side or buy-side research experience in equities.
Passion for investing with strong fundamental research skills such as deep-dive company analysis, financial modeling, valuation and industry/competitive assessments.
Prior experience or strong demonstrated interest in sustainable investing, with familiarity of industry frameworks and terminology.
Strong analytical and presentation skills with verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information succinctly.
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and follow-through.
Must be able to provide strong personal and professional references.
Curious and intellectually honest with strong commercial instinct and demonstrated interest in equity markets.
Enjoys collaborative projects and being part of a team building an innovative business.
Proficient to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
FINRA series qualifications and professional certifications such as CFA are helpful.

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
