Diagnostic Imaging Solutions (DIS), a subsidiary of Catalyst MedTech, is the nationwide leader in mobile nuclear cardiology with a unique direct‑to‑point‑of‑service healthcare model. We’re looking for a Cardiac Stress Technician who is a self‑starter and enjoys being on the go.

Schedule
Monday – Friday, Daylight Shift.

Responsibilities

Preparation of patients for cardiac stress testing procedure.

Assess patient vital signs.

Establish I.V. access using aseptic technique.

Set up and monitor patient through treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing including application monitoring of 12 lead EKG and patient symptoms.

Preparation of pharmacological stress agents, dose calculation and administration.

Ensure patient safety and provide high quality testing.

Accurately document patient test results and patient medical history using online PACS system. Additional administrative documentation may be required.

Initiate BLS and ACLS algorithms to manage patient symptoms in the event of an emergency, under physician supervision.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consistent and excellent customer service and patient care at all times.

Travel to client sites as scheduled. Driving company van and following Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for purpose of transporting equipment, medical supplies, radioactive material, and staff to customer site (training provided).

Minimum Qualifications

Active Paramedic License

or

Licensed Practical Nurse License

Completion of an accredited emergency care, paramedicine, or nursing program

Active BLS and ACLS Certification

Minimum of 1 year of experience with 12‑Lead EKG Placement and interpretation of rhythms; I.V. insertion

Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment as a team

Ability to assist patients on and off the camera

Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions

Work performed at outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician offices with moderate to high patient volume. Team members must travel in all weather conditions in company van.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Walking, stooping, turning, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Occupational Exposure
As a company that is committed to following ALARA at all times, there is limited radiation exposure during nuclear medicine procedures. Performance of clinical job duties has a reasonable anticipated risk factor of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens or other infectious materials. Employees are required to use protective equipment and practice universal precautions at all times during patient care.
