What we are looking for:
Dover Food Retail, Specialty Products offers a wide variety of career paths on which a creative and innovative individual can develop a successful career. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician I to ensure the daily, safe, efficient, and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair plant machinery and equipment to assure safe and efficient operation

Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC

Work with machine OEM and troubleshooting and repairing equipment

Utilize a CMMS application to manage maintenance work order, repairs, and root cause analysis (ROC)

Perform facility and equipment audits.

Communicate technical information through use of written, oral documentation

Ensure critical information is communicated at shift turnover

Operate forklifts and company vehicle as required

Support Lean initiatives 6S, Kanban, Standardized Work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Kaizen

High school diploma / GED

Minimum (2-3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

To be a great fit for the role:

2-year degree in industrial technology or 3 years’ experience related to industrial electrical, industrial welding or industrial plumbing preferred

Sheet Metal equipment knowledge; Laser, Turret and Press Brake

Willingness to complete maintenance certification training.

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex, fast‑paced environment

Demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills

Basic understanding and experience with MS Office, to include Word and Excel

Team oriented – values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player

Effectively collaborates, engages others in discussion and is hands‑on in problem solving

Can‑do attitude, committed to finding solutions

Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings

Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction
