As our Systems Engineer, you will own the infrastructure and servers that host our SaaS solution that support thousands of companies worldwide. You will be working as part of a small, dedicated, hands‑on team of system professionals to ensure a positive experience for our customers while making strong technical business decisions as part of a larger team.

What you'll do:

Design, deploy, and maintain a secure high availability cloud infrastructure

Design, deploy, and manage containers and orchestration technologies

Design and implement AWS security policies and best practices

Design and implement observability infrastructure including logging, traceability, alarms, and billing alerts

Support AWS cost management and optimization

Collaborate with DevOps to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications

Deploy and manage Windows and/or Linux servers on-prem and in the cloud

Build, support and troubleshoot IIS, AWS services, Tomcat or Apache web servers

Provide application support, patch management, performance tuning and monitoring for our SaaS products

Monitor systems, review logs and manage system backups

Own your system and application documentation for process improvement

Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation with some off‑hour and weekend support

Lead cross‑layer incident investigation - trace production issues across WAF, load balancer, application, and database tiers to identify root cause

What you'll bring:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; IT Certification desired

5+ years of web server experience, including production troubleshooting

2+ years AWS experience with administration, configuration, performance tuning and troubleshooting

Experience hosting a SaaS application

Strong understanding of AWS networking technologies and AWS Security

Strong understanding of CloudFormation and Terraform

Hands‑on experience with Windows and/or Linux operating systems including troubleshooting all aspects of the server operating environment

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Basic understanding of LAN/WAN network architecture, TCP/IP, protocols, and best practices

The ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly

Ability to coordinate projects and work assignments with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Self‑motivated with outstanding organization skills and attention to detail

AWS Services: EC2, S3, Autoscaling, CloudFront, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, IAM security, Networking, GuardDuty, Lambda, ECS

Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux

Hypervisor: OLVM

Configuration Management: Puppet

Monitoring and Logging: CheckMK, New Relic, Logstash, OpenSearch, PagerDuty

Web Servers: IIS, Apache/Tomcat

Single Sign-On: SAML

Networking: Imperva (WAF/CDN), Palo Alto firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs

Load Balancers: F5, Apache

Databases: PostgreSQL (RDS), Microsoft SQL Server

Storage: NetApp (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FC)

Infrastructure & OS/VM Deployment: Terraform

Version Control: GitLab, Git

Scripting: Python, Bash, Ruby, PowerShell
