Internal Transportation/Picker Packer
Job Description: This position involves transporting material between two sites less than half a mile apart. Responsibilities include driving, loading, unloading, packing, and shipping items with the company truck.
Responsibilities
Drive a box truck between 102 and 150 buildings, delivering daily requirements.
Load and unload truck with loose items, pallets, and boxes for daily operations and shipments.
Pick, pack, move, and ship items, loading them onto delivery trailers.
Unload third‑party trucks using pallet jack, hand jack, forklift as required.
Move items to and from storage areas as needed.
Use computer systems to order and track inventory movements.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This person must have a valid driver’s license.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a production environment where disruptions occur frequently. The noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
Employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Required close vision and regular standing, use of hands, reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasional climbing or balancing.
