
Audio Engineer (A1)

Work on a project basis to provide professional broadcast audio mixing and senior level audio production capabilities for live and recorded programs as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for in-room or live stream mixing of live, corporate events and quality control of audio sources for live and recorded production
Under the direction of the program director and/or producer(s), execute the audio design and output of live or recorded programs
Develop communication schemes for programs including talent and ambient mics, IFB and Intercom communications, etc.
Independently set up and operate studio audio control room to facilitate studio productions and remote live shots.
Manage audio assets on server as required
Skills & Qualifications
Proven live audio production skills and expert-level understanding of audio fundamentals
Proficiency with Yamaha digital consoles (QL5, DM7), Lectrosonics wireless microphones and RTS/Telex intercoms
Wireless audio frequency programming and management
Dante IP audio networking configuration and audio signal flow
Regularly update studio SOPs with latest processes and procedures
Programming Elgato Stream Deck and Companion macros for equipment automation
Ability to work effectively with senior management, studio clientele, and technical colleagues in a corporate environment
Energy, enthusiasm and initiative to optimize production efficiencies and processes
Ability to perform well in a deadline driven, live television environment
Must be well organized, capable of handling several projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently and possess excellent people skills
Commitment to excellence and ongoing education in production and the mastery of their craft
Education & Experience
6+ years of professional live and studio audio production experience, including high visibility or broadcast style environments.
Crew supervision and client interaction experience required
Bachelor’s degree in music, Electronic Engineering, Video/Film Production or equivalent working experience
