Description

AMPI owns six Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10 percent of the nation’s American-type cheese and processed cheese is produced. The cooperative’s award-winning cheese and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. In 2019, the co-op launched its Dinner Bell Creamery brand and accompanying Co‑op Crafted promise, highlighting more than 50 years of dairy farm families partnering with skilled cheesemakers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time:
Assign and match purchase orders with incoming and outgoing documents and invoices.
Compiles and updates shipping reports.
Obtain necessary signatures, make copies, and prepare the upload spreadsheet for payment.
File copies of all A/P documentation.
Assist in answering the phone, greeting all customers, suppliers, and visitors.
Accurately enter data into the JDE computer system.
Monthly reporting for month end close.
Prepare necessary backorder and/or other communications to internal and external customers on an as needed basis (order status, timing)
Help to assign and enter data for hold items.
Maintain appropriate inventories for production runs communicate needs with appropriate personnel.
Use company computer systems to prepare a variety of reports, correspondence and miscellaneous tasks from rough draft or reports, ensuring on time, accurate documents.
Establish and maintain computerized records system for departmental records, files, and reports, along with ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Perform back-up office responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
One to three years of relevant work experience preferred.
