Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Masonry Block Estimator to join our growing team. If you have experience in construction estimating and a strong understanding of masonry/block work, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Prepare quantitative surveys (take offs) for masonry block projects, often including stone veneer
Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
Prepare accurate cost estimates for masonry projects
Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
Preparing budgets/estimates with timelines for the work
Maintain organized records of estimates and bids
Prepare and coordinate handoff to the field Superintendent
Work with Superintendent to oversee project through completion
Qualifications:
High school Diploma or equivalent
3+ years’ experience in the Masonry CMU world
Proven experience in masonry or construction estimating
Strong knowledge of block, mortar, and related materials
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in estimating software (such as STACK or PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office
Strong communication and time management skills
