Based out of our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of large-scale aviation design projects working closely with Engineers and other disciplines to complete full design assignments. Tasks would include design and plan development utilizing either 2D or 3D CAD software.
Responsibilities
Development and review of 2D and 3D construction drawings.
Work under the supervision of senior staff to assist drafting design efforts for military and commercial airfields including, but not limited to, such disciplines as earthwork, pavements, and drainage.
Work closely on project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
Provide support in the overall management of construction drawings for projects.
Coordination support with other key team members.
Attend project meetings both virtually and in-person.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent as well as some academic use of AutoCAD.
Familiarity with or some previous experience working within the transportation industry.
Familiarity with National CAD Standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat, ability to switch between multiple applications at once and familiarity with document management.
Time management, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to efficiently utilize time in executing assigned tasks accurately and on time.
Local to Pittsburgh, PA.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute (or equivalent).
Exposure or interest in aviation design projects.
Familiarity with Bluebeam.
