Job Overview
The Multi-Modal Technologist reports to the designated leader(s) within the Radiology/Imaging Department. This position performs diagnostic procedures with skill and without requiring constant supervision in more than one (1) modality, or two (2) specialties within the same modality. This position will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level.
General Responsibilities
Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and guidelines.
Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
Must have working knowledge of computers and basic management applications.
Treats everyone as a guest by making a good first impression, anticipating needs and displaying service recovery skills.
Demonstrates professionalism and excellence by looking professional, being accountable for actions and delivering excellence in our everyday work.
Practices teamwork by participating in decision making and process improvement, communicating effectively and focusing on the problem/issue, not the person.
Qualifications
Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved school with at least 3 years of experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience required.
Advanced Imaging Experience (CT, MRI, CI, VIR) Preferred.
CRT, ARRT (R) required.
ARRT (CT) preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
