Production Technician

- Relevant skills and experience will be listed so you know why those jobs are a match* Join us as a Trainee earning 29.47 per hour + Shift Differential and advance to Qualified Technician earning $36.65 per hour once training requirements are met.* 3 weeks of paid vacation and 16 paid holidays* Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription* Minimum 10 weeks paid parental leave* Retirement savings options including a very competitive 401k company match.* Education assistance (up to 7,500.00 annually)* Responsible for the safe operation of chemical processing equipment.* Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).* Stages raw and finished materials.* Takes required samples during production process.* Decontaminates equipment and piping for maintenance or disposal.* Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment Matrix.* Maintains inventories of disposable, production, and safety related materials.* Recognizes material compatibilities.* Handles waste and other contaminated trash per SOP.* Conducts charging and filling operations.* Operates forklifts.* Maintains plant Hazard Communication labeling program.* Performs general housekeeping duties throughout the plant area.* Assists in product changeover activities.* Responsible for unit operations and safety equipment.* Recognizes and operates basic process elements.* Responsible for handling waste and other contaminated trash per SOP, following RCRA hazardous waste regulations, waste determinations, waste codes, and immediately communicates discovery of spills and leaks.* Responsible for labeling, inspection, and recordkeeping requirements to accumulate waste in satellite accumulation areas, containers, and tanks.* Operates shuttle wagon and radio communication during rail movement operations.* HS Diploma or GED with at least that level in reading comprehension, writing, and math.* Basic knowledge of and ability to use information technology systems and applications.* Personal focus on safety, teamwork, and adaptability.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to give and receive feedback in a professional manner.* Able to work in a self-directed, diverse team environment to achieve production goals.* Ability to use or learn to use control/display screens, process pumps and equipment, and various hand tools.* Ability to use full-face respirator, self-contained breathing apparatus, and various other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).* Willingness to climb and the ability to perform elevated work utilizing portable ladders and fall protection equipment within the current ANSI duty rating of 375 lbs.* Availability to work rotating shifts including overtime hours and weekends as scheduled.* Manufacturing Operation, Chemical Manufacturing, Military, or similar experience.* Ability to use information technology systems and applications.* Experience running types of processes (food, grain, batch processing, etc).* Forklift operation.* Ability to use various hand tools.* Ability to troubleshoot and complete mechanical repairs or preventative maintenance eon equipment.* Operate Computer Control Systems (PLC & Delta V), working in controls and manipulating valves.* Leadership of a team or small group.| If you meet the requirements of this unique opportunity, and want to impact our mission Science for a better life, we encourage you to apply now.
