College Way Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is hiring a part‑time Veterinary Client Service Representative to join their team! At College Way Animal Hospital, we offer primary care services for dogs and cats in Skagit, Whatcom, and Snohomish counties. We aim to promote caring relationships with pets and their owners by providing a compassionate environment committed to time‑tested practicality, balanced with the latest advances in medical and surgical veterinary care.
As a Client Service Representative, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life‑changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements
Customer service experience and 3+ years’ experience in veterinary medicine are highly preferred
Great communication skills – team oriented with an ability to collaborate and support each other
Outstanding multi‑tasker
Must be able to work 4‑10 hour shifts
Desire to practice empathetic, gold standard medicine benefiting our patients and clients
Are paw‑positive, kind and provide trustworthy communication to the patients, team members and clients
Have the desire to constantly grow and advance as a valued member
Role Responsibilities
Help strengthen relationships with our clients by greeting them and their pet, help with new client’s complete registration, and notify them of expected wait times
Educate clients and answer non‑medical inquiries
Maintain client relationships and service standards by responding to phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed. Regular monitoring of e‑mail and faxes
Schedule appointments, including in‑office diagnostics, and communicate with referring hospital staff to access patient records. Create appointment reminders and reschedule missed appointments
Maintain computer records with up‑to‑date client and patient data, verifying each patient entering the hospital
Maintain the front desk, reception area, waiting areas and exam rooms in a neat and clean manner
Ensure financial responsibilities are met by reviewing charges for services upon completion or discharge, ensuring accurate reconciliation of cash drawer with computer‑generated reporting
Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members
