Cogo Nation is growing, and we’re looking for a detail‑driven, experienced
Senior Accountant
to join our internal finance team. This is a hands‑on role for an accounting professional who can own core accounting processes, maintain accuracy across multiple entities, support financial operations, and help ensure the integrity of accounting data and reporting.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in reconciliations, cash activity, commissions support, cross‑functional accounting operations, and process improvement. You’ll work closely with internal departments and external partners while helping keep accounting workflows accurate, timely, and organized.
What You’ll Do
Record and review daily merchant deposits, ACH transactions, wire activity, and check activity
Reconcile bank accounts and internal cash activity across multiple entities and business lines
Prepare and maintain accurate account reconciliations and supporting documentation
Investigate discrepancies, research variances, and resolve issues in a timely manner
Support month‑end close activities, including reconciliations, reporting support, and cleanup of outstanding items
Prepare commission summaries for HR on a biweekly basis and ensure supporting data is accurate
Assist with accounts receivable follow-up by sending statements and communicating with JV partners as needed
Review invoice activity and support reconciliation processes in coordination with internal teams
Provide backup support for accounts payable, HUD approvals, and wire documentation
Maintain organized electronic accounting records and support audit‑ready documentation practices
Assist with petty cash, gift card reconciliations, and other internal control processes
Partner with Accounting, Sales, HR, and leadership to support financial accuracy and operational efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, accuracy, and consistency across processes
What You’ll Need
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast‑paced or multi‑entity environment
Strong experience with reconciliations, cash activity, and general accounting processes
Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to research issues, solve problems, and communicate clearly across teams
Professionalism, discretion, and trustworthiness with sensitive financial information
IT’S GREAT IF YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience using NetSuite
Experience using QuickBooks
Experience in real estate, lending, servicing, or a multi‑entity organization
Experience supporting month‑end close, audits, or financial reporting
