Russell Tobin is hiring a Tax Reporting Analyst (Client Tax Operations)
Hybrid – 3 days onsite (starting onsite)
Join a fast-paced Client Tax Reporting team responsible for ensuring compliance with IRS reporting requirements, including Forms 1099, 1042‑S, and 480.6. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in tax operations, reporting, and financial services.
What You’ll Do
Support Financial Advisors via calls and case management tickets
Troubleshoot and resolve client and stakeholder tax reporting inquiries
Analyze 1099 and 1042‑S reporting data to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with year‑end processing, mass corrections, and IRS reporting files
Perform daily reconciliations and review break reports
Help create and maintain audit documentation and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis
What You Bring
2+ years of professional experience (operations or tax preferred)
Background in tax, accounting, or financial services is a plus
Knowledge of IRS regulations (Chapter 3, Chapter 4, FATCA, NRA) preferred
Excellent client service and communication skills (phone interaction required)
Ability to multitask, analyze issues, and elevate when needed
Willingness to work extended hours during tax season
