
PEIMS Coordinator

As a PEIMS Coordinator, you will support multiple school districts with PEIMS analysis, data validation, and submissions across student and financial systems. You will collaborate closely with internal DSS team members and district stakeholders to ensureaccurate,timely, and compliant submissions to the state.
WhatYou’llDo
Lead end-to-end PEIMS and Core Collection submissions for assigned districts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with state requirements
Serve as apartner and trustedadvisor to district leadership (Superintendents, CFOs, HR, and campus staff) on PEIMS processes, data integrity, and funding impact
Perform and oversee data validation, reconciliation, and submission processes across student, staff, and financial systems (e.g., Skyward, PowerSchool, Ascender,etc.)
Analyze PEIMS reports toproactivelyidentifytrends; take initiative to investigate root causes and provide solution-oriented recommendations before submission
Audit and evolve data collection workflows,identify bottlenecks, and implement creative internal controls that balance compliance with campus/district efficiency
Conduct detailed reviews of enrollment, attendance, and special program data, ensuring accuracy for all student populations and audit readiness
Evaluate current and historical submissions toidentify inconsistencies, risk areas, and opportunities for process improvement
Provide cross-functional support for internal teams and client districts, including ad hoc reporting and troubleshooting
Translate technical TSDS/Ed-Fi data into meaningful narratives for stakeholders, ensuring everyone understands their role in data integrity
Actively pursue professional growth by staying ahead of ESC and TEA updates
Comply withpoliciesestablished by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy
Manage competing priorities in real-time, effectively triaging urgent requests whilemaintaining progress on long-term projects
Build professional rapport with campus registrars and special program coordinators to ensure data is collected accurately at the source

What You’llBring
3+ years of experience in PEIMS or state reporting roles
Knowledge of PEIMS, attendance, and state reporting requirements
Proficiencywith Student Information Systems (SIS)platforms(e.g., Skyward, PowerSchool, Ascender); mustpossessthe technical agility to master new software quickly.
Strong auditing skills with an emphasis on accuracy and discrepancy resolution
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage high-volume workloads and strict timelines
Ability to pivot between independent projects and team collaborations seamlessly
Clear verbal/written communication andcollaborative, professional demeanor
Ability tomaintainconfidentiality of sensitive data
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range$55,000 - $75,000
