Accountant Obligatory Reinsurance Business Central and Eastern Europe . The team supports our Market and Finance business units in their daily administrative operations, ensuring efficient processes and reliable service for internal and external clients.
You can look forward to
Reviewing, processing and booking mandatory reinsurance statements, including ensuring completeness
Recording, processing and preparing claims notifications, including sanctions screening and coordination with claims specialists
Quarterly closing activities
Independent processing of current accounts as well as support in cash flow management
Correspondence and reconciliation with internal interfaces and external clients
Participation in working groups and projects focused on automation and digitalisation in the international reinsurance accounting environment
Supporting colleagues within the team during process changes related to digitalisation and automation
You come equipped with
A completed degree in Business Administration and/or a comparable commercial qualification
Experience in accounting (e.g. within insurance, banking or tax environments)
Knowledge of various accounting standards, e.g. German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
A basic understanding of treaty and facultative reinsurance contracts is an advantage
German and English at a confident conversational level
Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
SAP knowledge is an advantage
Affinity for IT topics and willingness to familiarise yourself with various IT technologies
Excellent numerical skills and analytical thinking, combined with very strong communication skills
An independent and responsible working style, as well as enjoyment of collaborating in an international, highly motivated and well-connected team
