We are seeking a detail‑oriented, highly organized HR Coordinator to support the day‑to‑day operations of the People Operations team. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate employee records, coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics, and provide reliable administrative support across the employee lifecycle. This role will serve as a key operational resource within the People Operations function, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and in compliance with applicable requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR administration or a related support role, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with employees, managers, and cross‑functional teams including IT, Payroll, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Records & Documentation
Prepare, organize, and maintain employee documentation in personnel files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Perform data entry and updates in the HRIS, maintaining data integrity across employee lifecycle transactions.
Support HR audit preparation and ongoing recordkeeping activities, including file reviews and documentation reconciliation.
Administrative Support
Coordinate onboarding logistics and pre‑onboarding setup for new hires, including completion of required documentation, system access coordination, and first‑day readiness.
Support offboarding processes, including separation documentation, equipment and access termination coordination.
Schedule and manage HR‑related meetings, including onboarding sessions, exit meetings, HR touchpoints, and cross‑functional coordination calls.
Provide general administrative support to the People Operations team, including drafting correspondence, maintaining shared resources, and handling routine inquiries.
Task & Project Coordination
Track open HR tasks and action items, proactively ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
Support People Operations initiatives and projects as assigned, providing coordination and logistical assistance as needed.
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in HR, administrative support, or a related field.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms and standard office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint).
Familiarity with California employment law and HR compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity; must be highly trustworthy.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience with BambooHR, Paychex, or comparable platforms.
PHR, aPHR, or SHRM‑CP in progress or completed.
Compensation
Level I – $24/hour – $27/hour (1 or less years experience)
Level II – $28/hour – $30/hour (2‑3+ years experience)
Pay range for this role: $24 – $30 USD
