
Trailer Utility Technician

Job Description
We’re looking for a Trailer Utility Technician to join our team—someone hands‑on, reliable, and ready to keep our operations moving. In this role, you’ll play a key part in yard and shop support, including safely moving trailers and dollies, assisting with equipment upkeep, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Utility Worker works with the repair person in a manner to compliment the job when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
Safely move (shuttle) trailers and dollies between UPS locations.
Operate a forklift to handle materials and equipment.
Support shop operations, including washing trailers and dollies and basic painting tasks.
Assist with unloading supplies and maintaining an organized workspace.
Ensure compliance with DOT requirements as needed for the role.
Requirements
Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state.
Must be 21 years or older.
Must be willing to work
Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
CDL Class A -
REQUIRED
Must have a license to pull doubles - Doubles endorsement -
REQUIRED
Knowledge and Skills
5 years of experience driving heavy‑duy vehicles with manual transmission.
Ability to maneuver combination vehicles safely and efficiently.
Experience pulling doubles.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The starting pay for this position is $33.31 per hour with a one‑year progression to top pay $34.31. For union‑represented postings, wage rates and ranges and benefit offerings are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions.
Hired applicants are eligible for weekly pay, extensive training, 401(K), defined‑benefit pension plan, medical‑dental and vision after waiting and/or probation period, $0 healthcare premium, paid vacation, paid sick and family and medical leave time as required by law, paid holidays, discounted employee stock purchase program.
