In a warehouse, "clean" usually means "safe."
Housekeeping: Sweeping aisles, clearing away discarded shrink-wrap or broken pallets, and keeping workstations organized (often called 5S).
Equipment Maintenance: Performing daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor belts to ensure they are safe to operate.
Safety Compliance: Adhering strictly to OSHA standards, including wearing PPE (steel-toed boots, high-vis vests) and following proper lifting techniques.
Salary: $17 - $17.5 per hour
Shift: Second
Work hours: 3:15 PM – 11:45 PM
Education: No Degree Required
Responsibilities
Core Production & Logistics: The daily tasks that keep the supply chain moving.
Order Fulfillment:
Picking items from shelves based on digital or paper "pick tickets" and prepping them for shipment.
Loading & Unloading:
Manually or mechanically moving freight from delivery trucks into the warehouse (and vice versa).
Packing & Labeling:
Securing items in boxes, applying correct shipping labels, and ensuring fragile items are protected.
Palletizing:
Stacking boxes onto pallets in a stable, secure manner and using shrink-wrap machines to prep them for transport.
