About the Role
The Maintenance Technician II is an advanced technical role responsible for installing, repairing, and performing precision maintenance on complex manufacturing equipment. Beyond standard repairs, the Tech II serves as a technical lead and primary trainer for entry‑level staff. This position requires experience in dielectric (Radio Frequency) welding equipment, PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to perform independent root‑cause diagnostics to minimize production downtime and preserve proprietary technical knowledge.
What You’ll Accomplish
Technical Leadership & Training: Actively train, mentor, and evaluate entry‑level Maintenance Tech I personnel. Provide hands‑on coaching regarding safety protocols, equipment operation, and specialized repair techniques.
Specialized Equipment Maintenance: Perform advanced troubleshooting, tuning, and precision repair of dielectric welding equipment and high‑frequency generators.
Root Cause Diagnosis: Independently diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures. Identify underlying causes to implement permanent technical solutions rather than temporary fixes.
Precision Calibration: Execute high‑tolerance installations and calibrations, ensuring all machinery operates within strict OEM and facility specifications.
Project Coordination: Lead small‑scale maintenance projects and serve as the primary technical resource during machine‑down emergencies.
Systems Management: Utilize the CMMS (MaintainX) to document repairs, manage parts inventory, and assist in planning long‑term preventative maintenance schedules.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA standards and company‑specific safety protocols, acting as a safety lead for the maintenance team.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We’re Looking For

high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Field of Study Preferred:

Required Work Experience:
At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize‑approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
