We are seeking a
Materials Technician Trainee
to join our Salt Lake City, UT team! Come join us!
Job Responsibilities
Concrete sampling and testing
Soil density tests
Asphalt density tests and coring of asphalt
Pick-up cylinders for transportation back to laboratory
Sample onsite soil for Proctor tests / gradations / Atterbergs
Work late nights or early morning on occasion
Variable weekly hours, ranging from roughly 30 to 50 hours, depending on work day
Ability to write coherent daily summary reports
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Secondary schooling a plus)
Valid driver's license. Suitable driving record.
Meet background check criteria
1+ years of materials testing experience preferred.
Nuclear density testing certification and ACI certifications preferred.
Knowledge of the construction industry
Other Miscellaneous Qualities
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Reliable
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
