
LUYF: Community Outreach and Food Access Coordinator VISTA

Overview
Latinos Unidos Y Floreciendo (LUYF) is a community-rooted nonprofit working to strengthen food systems and reduce hunger in rural Clark and Cowlitz Counties, Washington. The Community Outreach & Food Access Coordinator VISTA will partner with Harvest Against Hunger through the Harvest VISTA program to build sustainable, data-driven food security solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement standardized data collection and tracking tools to measure food production, distribution, surplus recovery, and household reach.
Create coordination systems such as harvest calendars, distribution schedules, and communication workflows that align farm production with community demand.
Assess outreach strategies, identify best practices for engaging vulnerable populations, and formalize culturally responsive engagement methods that increase participation and reduce barriers.
Program Benefits
