Overview
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience)
Demonstrated experience developing and training machine learning or AI models
Hands‑on experience prototyping AI‑driven solutions in Python
Familiarity with version control and collaborative development using Git
Ability to work with SQL and relational or analytical data stores
Experience integrating AI/ML models into automated or semi‑automated pipelines
U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AI solutions in a regulated industry (e.g., DoD, Financial Services, healthcare, or other compliance‑driven environments)
Experience developing or customizing AI agents and agent‑based workflows
Familiarity with AutoML tools and automated model experimentation techniques
Exposure to model governance, explainability, and risk mitigation approaches
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and test AI and machine learning prototypes to support mission‑focused use cases
Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models across structured and unstructured datasets
Integrate AI/ML models into secure and scalable data processing pipelines
Support ingestion, processing, and analysis of multimodal datasets (e.g., text, images, structured data) to identify patterns, trends, and key values
Develop and customize AI agents tailored to defined use cases and regulatory constraints
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements and evolve AI use cases
Apply secure development practices and conduct code scanning and dependency analysis to support compliance requirementsDocument model design, assumptions, limitations, and performance results to support technical reviews and audits
Qualifications
Clearance requirement: U.S. citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
10 years of work experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated experience developing and training machine learning or AI models
Hands‑on experience prototyping AI‑driven solutions in Python
Familiarity with version control and collaborative development using Git
Ability to work with SQL and relational or analytical data stores
Experience integrating AI/ML models into automated or semi‑automated pipelines
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence model development and training
Developing and testing AI agents and agent‑based systems
AutoML analysis and model comparison techniques
Working with multimodal datasets to extract insights and patterns
Python for AI/ML development and data processing
Hugging Face libraries and models for NLP and multimodal use cases
Git for source control and collaborative development
SQL for data querying and analysis
Application and code security tools such as OWASP ZAP, Bandit, Semgrep, dependency scanning and analysis tools
Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate on AI/ML solutions
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Ability to follow secure coding, data handling, and compliance standards in a federal environment
