Fork Lift Operator

JOB PURPOSE
Operate various types of forklifts to move materials, ensuring that production moves smoothly and efficiently and trucks are loaded properly in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily inspection and routine maintenance on forklift.
Able to operate forklift safely and sensibly both inside and outside.
Ensure trucks are loaded properly with correct bagged product for shipment.
Tend manual and/or automated bagging lines.
Transfer pallets of product from production area to storage area, keeping the production line clear of finished goods.
Receive and verify incoming loads, checking for damaged goods and verifying quantity and quality.
Stack pallets neatly in appropriate locations.
Perform housekeeping as needed, keeping the loading area, production area, and yard clean and manageable.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
Must have forklift operation experience.
Must be able to work in tight areas at times.
Capable of lifting 75 pounds (desired).
Successfully complete company forklift certification process.
Capable of sitting for extended periods of time.
