Role Overview
As Customs Assistant Hub Manager, you will support the daily operational performance of the Customs Brokerage Hub by ensuring workflow efficiency, compliance accuracy, and high‑quality service delivery. This role provides hands‑on leadership to frontline staff, assists with process optimisation, and supports the Hub Manager with reporting, issue resolution, people development initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts. You will act as a key partner in maintaining operational excellence and contributing to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer satisfaction.

How you create impact

Support oversight of end‑to‑end customs entry processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

Coordinate workload distribution, monitor queues, and assist teams in resolving bottlenecks.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices and drive process improvements.

Assist with issue resolution related to delays, escalations, client inquiries, and system errors; partner with the Hub Manager to ensure consistent service delivery across shifts and teams.

Provide coaching, guidance, and operational support to supervisors and staff.

Support onboarding, training, workflow documentation, and performance feedback processes.

Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all records and documentation remain accurate and audit‑ready.

Monitor compliance with customs regulations, identify potential risks, and work with management to address them.

Assist in liaising with customs authorities and support the Manager in addressing issues or inquiries.

Support client relationship management by serving as a secondary point of contact and ensuring client requirements are met.

Assist the Manager in researching and evaluating new business opportunities, including potential clients and service expansions.

Contribute to the preparation and administration of client and vendor contracts, ensuring terms are accurately documented and followed.

Assist with preparing operational reports, KPIs, dashboards, and regular service performance updates.

Participate in root‑cause investigations and corrective action planning for service‑related issues.

What we would like you to bring

Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

4+ years of experience in customs brokerage, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

Hands‑on experience with customs management software (like CargoWise) and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal.

Deep understanding of C‑TPAT standards and Other Government Agency (OGA) requirements, such as those from the FDA or USDA.

Possessing a Customs Broker License would be a significant advantage.

Open to national travel up to once per quarter as required by business needs.
