Calvert ISD is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated 6th–8th Grade Math Teacher to provide rigorous, standards‑based instruction and support student success in mathematics. The ideal candidate will create an engaging classroom environment, implement TEKS‑aligned lessons, and use data‑driven strategies to meet the needs of all learners. This position requires collaboration with colleagues, effective communication with parents and staff, and a commitment to preparing students for higher‑level math courses.
Salary commensurate with experience
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (Mathematics 4–8 or appropriate content area)
Knowledge of TEKS and middle school math curriculum
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to analyze student data and adjust instruction accordingly
Effective communication skills with students, parents, and staff
Commitment to student achievement and academic growth
