Required:Heartsaver AEDValid California Drivers License. Must provide DMV report prior to offer being made. No driving infractions 5 years prior to hire or during time in this job. Infractions include DUI, Suspended or Revoked License, Reckless Driving.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Before acceptance into the Medical Transportation Department, must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE). This exam includes a 50 pound lifting requirement.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEssentialMaintains cleanliness of delivery vehicle, inspect and reports any safety problems immediately. Completes routine maintenance of vehicles (oil change, tire rotation, tune-up, etc.) as needed. Maintain mileage log of all deliveries.

Demonstrates ability to safely provide patient care relative to gurney/wheelchair care and patient transport. Demonstrates working knowledge of transport van environment. Demonstrates excellent driving skills and proof of driving record through DMV search. Demonstrates knowledge and ability in safe transport and clean up of hazardous chemicals, body fluids etc. Safely performs complex patient lifts/transfers using various assisting devices and proper body mechanics. Documents patient lift on the Lift Teamwork log in an accurate and timely manner.Additional

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
