Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Sarasota, FL. Weekly pay ranges from $990 to $1188 or more.

Weekly Pay: $990 - $1188 plus additional incentives

Hourly Pay: $26.77 per hour + $5.36 per hour Health & Welfare Stipend

Hours per week: 37 hours average

Schedule: Sun, Tue, Thu, Fri & Sat

Start time: 1:00 AM – 5:30 AM

Split shift on Thu & Sat

Route & Vehicle Details

Delivery Area: 150 Air Miles of Sarasota FL

Route Type: Local Home Daily

Tractor: Day Cab

Trailer: 48' & 53' Dry Van

Freight: Touch‑2 US Mail

USPS Additional Requirements

A secondary background screen – Federal Level 2 conducted by USPS

Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959 (unless exempt)

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards

Maintain accurate records and logs

Load/Unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required by customer

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Pass a Ryder Drug Test

Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle Check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)

Pass a DOT Physical

Pass a Ryder Road Test

Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:

9 months experience within the past 3 years,

OR

2 years’ experience within the last 5 years,

OR

5 years’ experience within the last 10 years

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
