Description
The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates and assesses student progress against instructional objectives; follows state‑mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned students; collaborates with general education staff including co‑teaching assignment; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules students and paraprofessionals; supervises paraprofessionals.
The candidate should possess strong instructional skills centered in cultural responsiveness; demonstrated commitment to developing lessons and instruction centered in racial and cultural responsiveness; demonstrated interest and effectiveness in working with elementary students; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; and demonstrated use of formative assessments to assess and plan for student learning. This is a 1.0 FTE position starting August 24, 2026.

Qualifications
A MN Teaching License in Special Education with elementary experience preferred.

Compensation
Minimum full‑year, full‑time starting salary for this position is $53,085, plus a district contribution toward health and dental insurance.
